These mechanical belt-driven knitting machine brands like Komet and Hemphill Banner used to create socks for many Canadian brands such as Cotton Ginny, Eaton's, Simpsons, The Bay and many more. Other brands still exist today, but they moved production overseas years ago to increase profit. That old chestnut.
