Our Actually Made in Canada sock collection is manufactured in small batches in Ontario, Canada on vintage production knitting machines from the mid 1900s that once made socks for many iconic Canadian brands. They have all shifted to offshore production or are no longer in business.
Socks. Actually Made in Canada. What a concept.
We've got ankle socks, quarter high socks, crew socks, boot socks, knee high socks, over the knee socks and our journey of Canadian made socks is just getting started.
Our yarn is sourced from Canada, United States and Europe.

We feature our own Actually Made in Canada sock collection created in Ontario, Canada on vintage production machines from the mid-1900s. Our Single Word Socks and The Sockologist is IN! brands are also made here in Canada on the latest 200 needle machines with seamless toe technology and Oeko-Tex® certified organic cotton.
Our other current sock & gift brands include Darn Tough, ModSocks, Good Luck Socks, Native Northwest, Main and Local, Uptown Sox and others.
We closed our storefront at the start of the pandemic thing to transition 100% online. We still operate and ship from London, Ontario.
From avocado to zebra with corgis and llamas in between and a sprinkle of stripes on top, we have you (your feet) covered.
At Purple Moose, the Sockologist is IN!
"I went Googling for a Canadian distributor of Darn Tough. I was very excited to find your Ontario based operation AND your actually made in Canada line. I'll be back!"
"I heard you are leaving the sock business and going to get into spy balloons. You can count me and my eight cats as future customers."
